Malaysia then home!!!

This is the stiffling accomodation found in Kuala Lumpur. We drove past tower after tower of these apartment blocks...

Me eating a semi-dried fish head and chilli-rice for breakfast. This is one of the few things we could find for breaky at the small fishing village where we stayed. We think we were at the only guest house there, too. It was a back building an old couple's yard, with two other guests there (perhaps there were more, but they certainly were quiet)- two elderly gentlemen, the one we chatted to most was fritting away his pension money in Malaysia and Thailand six months of the year.

Small cat with stumpy tail (they all seem to have incomplete tails here) meowing to Jo for his leftovers. Hmmm.... I think I'll give him that dried fish head...

Monkeys like gangsters crossing the top of a building towards the powerlines (their bridge over the road)

Skillful traverse

Fishing boat in the bay coming back in. The buildings behind are at the next town round, Batu Ferrangi (foreigner's rock), where there tourist restaurants, markets and resort hotels gallore for the rich adn famous ;) unlike us ;)

In the national park which comes right down to the sea. It is situated about 5 mins walk from where we are staying and we ended up spending a couple of days walking around the 'jungle'.

Happy hairy travellers

Interesting dead fish with ants helping the decomposing process

A stream of ants across the path in the national park. A source of amusement for ages. Jo even made an ant-following video

Now we are home and have been for some time! (sorry about the slow upload of the last post!) This will bring us to the end of this adventure and back to a more 'normal' life (how boring but how necessary. and maybe can be interesting too....)
Thanks for watching our adventures via blogspot! See you next adventure!!!
